GENEVA (FIBA U21 World Championship for Women) - FIBA would like to announce the launching of www.russia2007.fiba.com, the official website for the FIBA U21 World Championship for Women that will take place in the Moscow Region (Russia), from 29th June to 8th July 2007.

www.russia2007.fiba.com includes all-event related information on this international basketball youth championship for women and will feature, during the competition itself, live results and stats of all games.

The 2nd edition of the FIBA U21 World Championship for Women will be played from 29th June to 8th July 2007, with 12 teams comprised of players born in 1986 or after, in the Sports Complex Vidnoe, located in the city of Vidnoe (Moscow Region, Russia).

In the first edition of the championship, held in Sibenik (Croatia) in 2003, the USA clinched the gold medal, Brazil won the silver and France took the bronze.
