800 million people watched the 2006 FIBA World Championship live together with a further 5.3 billion who followed the action through sports round-ups and news features.
The world of basketball has never been more competitive and the future FIBA Championships will showcase the very best of international basketball featuring the starts of the sport. If you are a broadcaster and wish to reach this audience with programming which is exciting, dynamic and truly international, then the FIBA International Basketball Programme is the answer.
We are now investigating broadcast partners for FIBA at a national or regional level who will work with FIBA to further enhance the various international competitions for television content, production and distribution.
ActivitiesEvent Organisation
FIBA TV is responsible for the coordination of all of the television production and delivery elements related to the FIBA World and FIBA Continental events.
The FIBA Television Manual that has been produced outlines all of the relevant aspects in detail to ensure the optimum television coverage of the competition.
FIBA Television Graphics
As part of the complete FIBA branding concept, a FIBA Graphics Manual has been produced which details all of the necessary templates for the competitions and ensures that all of the graphics are in line with the FIBA Corporate Identity as well as the relevant event look and feel. The FIBA Graphics Manual is given to each television Host Broadcaster for the competitions.

The initial offering which was accessible through the FIBA/FIBA Zone or Event websites related to the 2005 FIBA EuroBasket Championship but further extended to the 2006 FIBA Men's and Women's World Championships
